The reunion doesn’t have to be a one‑night thing—here’s what some classmates are talking about for after the big night.
Somewhere between planning the Bicentennial Class of 1976 Golden Jubilee and swapping old yearbook stories, a funny thing happened: we figured out we actually like one another a whole lot more now that teen angst and runaway hormones are out of the way.
A good many Bicentennial Eagles have said they’d love to keep this thing rolling with a once-a-month get-together somewhere in the Middle Tennessee area — maybe something like the third Tuesday of each month at a laid-back spot where we can sit a spell, jaw a while, and laugh without having to shout over a band. Hearing aids, anyone?
This ain’t a meeting, and it sure ain’t homework. It’s just classmates getting together to swap life stories, brag on grandkids, compare knee replacements, and remember who was cutting class back in ’76. Some of us even found out during reunion planning that we’re related, which explains a lot about certain class photos.
If that sounds like your kind of afternoon, speak up at the reunion and don’t be shy about suggesting a favorite spot in Middle Tennessee. We’ve already waited 50 years to catch up proper — no reason to stop now.

The reunion committee kept the ticket price at just $42.50 to make sure our entire class can celebrate together. This fee covers the essential venue cost and catered meal. Everything else—the DJ, games, decorations, champagne toast, programs, website, signage—and administrative costs are completely powered by the blood, sweat, tears, and open hearts of your reunion team. This 50-Year Golden Jubilee is for the Bicentennial Class of 1976—let's make it one for the books!

The impetus for the 50th reunion of the WHS Bicentennial Class of 1976 began last year with Adeline and Edwin. The Reunion Committee for the Class of 1976 reunion is ever-evolving, with classmates attending and participating as they can. All members of the Class of '76 are welcomed and encouraged to attend and participate in the planning of this Golden Jubilee Event. Special thanks to our class president, Nathan, who has been at every meeting.

Class of 1976 Reunion Committee Mission and Values
As we approach our 50th reunion for the Class of 1976, our biggest goal is simple: we want absolutely EVERYONE to attend. Our class history, especially from our time at Westmoreland High School, is a puzzle of many pieces, and it simply isn’t complete if any of our pieces are missing.

The Grand Inheritance
The Grand Inheritance is a historic 1790 mansion built by Revolutionary War hero Major David Wilson, who helped shape Tennessee’s statehood in 1796. Its rich heritage offers a meaningful setting for celebrating the WHS Class of 1976 50th Class Reunion. The venue is handicap accessible.
